The TV Shows

by moirob @ 26/10/2006 - 10:36:42

Or "How I like to kill my time Wednesday's"

Yesterday we finally had are broadband installed. Whooop. No more waiting to the weekend to sort through my masses of emails. (I cant access webmail from work, the only site I really need and can't access, Gmail)
I have to admit though, 90%, possible higher, of my mail is just from comments on blog.co.uk.
Makes a change from 90% being spam.

As well as having broadband installed, the TV was also upgraded to digital. Loads more TV channels, although I already have freeview in my room.
I was tipped off the other day that an old favourite of mine is being repeated on Nick Jnr.

Button Moon Weekdays 20.15 Nick Jnr

Buttonmoon! Anyone else watch this?

Instead of youtubing the opening sequence, here is a clip from the show. Enjoy!

Child hood fun.

Yesterday's episode was about a dancing bathroom and Toothbrush Jnr. Awwwww!

Another old favourite of mine is being repeated on ITV4, for those who have it.

Here is that opening sequence. See if you can guess what show it is before it reaches the end.

ITV4 Wednesday's 22:00 What show?

Here are some clues;
Lucas Buck
Caleb
Maaaaar-lun
"someone's at the door."

Good, wholesome, old TV fun! Yesssssssssss Nothing beats it.

Button Moon, funny I was singing the theme tune to that this morning. We were talking about kids TV on Adamantix site yesterday.
They don't make them like they used to.

That is spookily uncanny, whhhoooooo! :)

They sure dont make them like they used to.

I heard that there was a DVD of episodes available. And a quick check on ebay confirms that. I may have to order a copy or two. One for my neice, it is nearly Christmas, and one, er.... spare, incase my neice ever stays at mine! :D haha

"We're ooooooff to Button Mooooooooon,
We'll follow Mr Spoooooooon,
Button Mooooooooon......."

Loved it. Absolutely loved it.

You'll notice that Nick Jnr also shows Rainbow, Puddle Lane, The Wombles and many, maaaaaaany more children's shows - it's ace!!

I couldnt stop laughing all the way through the episode I was watching yesterday (until the Missus called in the middle and interupted)
I enjoyed it now as much as I did as a kid.

Loved it then, love it now!

I did see there were other shows, I caught the end of Rainbow yesterday. Everyone was excersing in teh garden. But once youve seen then "twangers" episode, the others quite arent the same.

Favourite American Gothic quote:

"when I want your opinion, I'll beat it out of you..."

(Now I feel like a fool, I was saying on your blog to read my blog as I had talked about American Gothic, and here I find youve commented. I pity the fool)

You remember quotes? (that is a good quote)

My favourite quote was always "hey murrrrrrlyn" when ever Caleb talks to his sister. Very memorable.

He was a creepy boy... Made even creepier by the fact that in real life he was about 15 when they shot that series. Also, he popped up in the X-Files movie (check me and my geek credentials) playing yet another creepified boy. Eesh.

You ever watched Firefly? Now, there was a GREAT programme. So sad, so sad...

I think I only seen the XFile movie once, half asleep and barely remember it. But did not notice him in it.

I'm not that good celeb spotting, whether its in real life or on TV.
But I did see Cameron from Ferris Bueller (my favourite movie, ever!) on a repeat from the 2nd series of Scrubs the other day.
And just to show how crap I am at celeb spotting, I checked IMDB to confirm I was right and it turns out that Cameron was on Spin City for a few years. And I used to watch that all the time!!!

How crap am I!

Oh, and never seen Firefly nope. Never heard of it. Always wanted to of watched Twin Peaks.

I loved Button Moon, I wanted to be Mrs Spoon.

I highly recommend you purchase the DVD and make you son watch it. Even if he kicks and screams and shouts that he wants to go blast some alien bad guys on his playstation, you should make him sit in front of the tv until youve finished watching it!
(at least that way if anyone catches you watching it you can blame your son :D haha)

Good idea! Although I don't think he will ever forgive me if I made him sit and watch something with men made out of kitchen utensils and space ships made of toilet rolls. maybe I'll wait till he's gone to bed and re live my misspent youth in private.

"we're off to Button Moon, follow Mr Spoon.........."

There shouldnt be any "maybe" about. Its a must do!
