Now the Missus, she loves Take That. Absolutely loves them. Often on a night out with her friends, the taxi ride home is always filled with there annoying songs. Sang only in a way that a group of drunken girls can sing, nicely of course ::ahem::*

Anyway, it seems that Take That won an award the other night. That award was for "Best Live Return Award." Now Im not saying that they shouldn't get an award, their concerts may of been great. I mean they did beat Pink Floyd, The Who and Depeche Mode to win the award. So a little congratulations.

But I'm mainly shocked that the music industry is recognising that most bands that have split up, are now coming back together as the has-beens need some extra cash, and have created an award for the "Best Comeback."

Whatever next, "Best Cover Single"?

* I hope these comments dont mean I hear alot of "Take That" followed by "And That," and me covered in bruises when leaving the taxi after this weekends night out. Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee XX(

Thats what happens when you have to give money to groupies to stop them selling their stories to tabloids.
I guess the old line "I wish I could be with you more [insert name], but I'm just at a busy crossroads in my life and won't have time to be with you," doesnt work anymore at keeping the kiss and tells quiet.

it's ok, i won't beat you up for saying that! they do have a new sinlge out as well!

but from what people said and the reviews, their comeback tour was absolutely amazing, so i guess it's in recognition of that, not simply that they came back.

i think perhaps people would have complained if they had been up against still established bands and the awards people would have been for a bit of a row. so maybe they just created a new category to keep the peace

Im not just singling out Take That here. That fact tht so many bands (like the ones I've listed) have come back, its made the record industry create a whole new award.

And I wouldn't of complained had they won best live act. I mean if they deserve it, then they deserve it. But that wasn't what my post was about, and it was just a coincidence that the band that won was one of your favourite.

Im just saying that amazing the amount of bands that are com,ing back together, healing fueds, so many infact, that here we have this new award.

Now where am I best placing the padding to stop the brusing? Shins or arms? :D

ok, no need to make me feel silly.

yes there are a lot of bands reforming, mostly becasue of the success that Take That had with their tour, i guess they are thinking it's their one last shot at it

Im sorry. I wasnt meant to make you feel silly. I was just trying to clear up that this was no way a post to mock Take That. I have no problem with them. I often danced to their songs at School Disco's!
It's just a coincidence that the band that won the award was one of your favourites. Otherwise it would of been a different band.

Yes, Im sure your right, Take That can heal feuds. Although I hope no Pink Floyd fans are reading this or youll have a few mails sent your way ;) eeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Five (or 5ive haha) are coming back too! I used to like Take That, but there's something not quite right about a bunch of 30-yr-olds dancing like a 5-yr-old girl on stage, wearing pvc shorts, being admired by screaming teenage girls. Hum...

Yes! My mom didnt let me see them when I was 12 and then they split up so I used it for blackmail during my teens. "But mom I NEED money for clothes, you didnt let me see Five when I was 12 and now I'm never gonna be able to, remember?" I bet she's gonna get me a ticket for xmas now. Sorry didnt mean to offend your feelings dear! I'm gonna have to see photographic evidence of those hobbies though!! Haha :D

I so wish I could of used something like that when I was a kid. Im guessing had I asked to see 5ive/Take That my mum would of sat me down for a "talk."
IF she gets you a ticket, youll never be able to blackmail her again, or youll have to find something else.

so aimed at the teenagers, or the teenagers that did support them over a decade are now young adults, their comeback, like five, are pulling at fan's sentimental heart stings ...
