Or "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in awhile, you could miss it."

So I'm running about 9 hours behind. V, tickets, trains, training, sackings and housemates all play a part.
I'm sure I'll cover most, or all of these subjects, over the next few days.

So here is a rough guide to my last 24 hours;
We got a phone call yesterday at the house, it was a girl calling about the spare room.
We recently put one of the rooms in our house up for rent. This is due to one housemate leaving to do a course for a year.
So its been arranged that the 2nd interviewee will visit tomorrow. I know very little about this person, except her name. But I didnt take the call. I've been told though I have to wear more then underwear though. Can this be done?
I guess it would be better to start from the beginning.
Housemate Applicant 1 After arranging to come to visit the house last week, called up and cancelled without seeing the house.
More when I get them.

Before work I detoured to the Post Office to pick up my V tickets. Last time I had to collect something from the Post Office it was my Wireless tickets. They asked for ID. The tickets were addressed to my step dad, as his card was used to pay for the tickets at the time. He of course dosen't live with us. So he can't collect them. I took as much info on me buying the tickets and on me living at that address as I could. When I arrived at the Post Office they said;
"Oh it's fine, your name is on the envelope too."
All that preparation, answers to questions I thought would be asked, wasted.
Well at least I have the tickets.

When I did get to work I was immediately informed that the new guy I was working with was asked to not come back. This is the same guy that I had been complaing about a few entries earlier. It seems that I wasnt just moaning about anything. This guy was asked to not come back aftr working a little over 3 weeks.
He was called at home, or I suspect he was called by his agency after his shift, and asked not to come in. No one knew, at least not "Official" until this morning.
The boss sat with me, explained the new guy had been let go, and a new girl was to start that morning.
So within a few hours, one person had been sacked and a new one hired immediately. Fast paced or what!
Due to the training person guy being ill, new girl was sat with me all day. (This will explain my lack of blogging/commenting as she was "looking over my shoulder," as it were.)
Although she seems alot more capable at doing the job then previous guy. Which is a huge bonus as it halves my work load. Plus I have more in common with her. (No longer will I have to hear comments about "good looking cars")

With the departure of the ex new guy, it messes up my plans a bit. I had planned to take off the day after V. Not to recover, but as I am camping at the festival, I of course, need to return home.
The original 'Other colleague,' booked off the same Monday. Which meant I couldn't. He moved to a different project and we got in new guy. Which meant I could book off the Monday. No problem. He was sacked for being rubbish at his job. Which leaves me back at square 1. Now the new new person would of had about 2 weeks training. Which is more then enough to get a good grip of what the job is about. But not enough time to feel comfortable on your own. And the problem is, is that there is only one other person capable of doing my job. And he has booked a day off. Although I havent been working there long, I like to show respect. I hate calling in fake sickies.
I have paid for coach travel, it was included in my tickets. The coach leaves at 1130, and is going to take a while. Which means Ill miss most of work.
My only option, one that Im not happy about, but have to do. Is make my own way back on the monday morning.
This will involve leaving a place I've never seen before. Without knowing the area or even how I got there, and to get home. In the shortest possible time. This includes having to cover from banging hangover from previous 3 nights, pack up tent, collect all stuff. And leave.
And although there are stations nearby that can get me to Leeds in about 2 hours, the hardest part it seems, is the getting to the station. Which Im clueless about.
Most of my next few days will be trying to work out in my head/on paper the best way there, taken clues and hints from people on the internet forums, any helpful sites (although its hard to give journey starting points if you dont know where they are) and calling around a few people.
Of course this means that with my plan, prepurcahse tickets and time tables, when it comes to leaving Monday morning Id of never walked that road before.

And that roughly brings me back up to date. All I have to do now is tell you about my weekend, so.....
